This means that there are many stands with cheese and related products, as well as local foods and crafts. The last Sunday of the market will be the traditional event of the introduction and tasting of the biggest Turrialba cheese of Costa Rica, symbol of the market in order to acknowledge and honor the pioneers of the cheese producers of the region.
So if you were thinking about visiting Turrialba, the weekends of the 3rd and 4th of July as well as the 10th and 11th of July, are excellent times to be there.
